Skip to main contentWhat is included with Cloud Servers?
Each Cloud Server includes dedicated vCPU cores, RAM, bandwidth allowance, DDoS protection, monitoring, firewall, and 24/7 support. Public IPs and storage are priced separately based on usage.
Where are your data centers located?
We operate Tier III data centers in Nairobi (Kenya), Lagos (Nigeria), and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), providing low-latency connectivity across East and West Africa. All facilities feature N+1 power redundancy, 24/7 security, DDoS protection, and a 99.99% uptime SLA for multi-AZ deployments. Planned locations include Johannesburg (South Africa) and Frankfurt (Germany).
How does storage customization work?
You can choose storage sizes from 1 GB to 16 TB. The default storage type is Network Universal SSD (balanced performance at 0.253/GB/month).YoucanalsochooseNetworkBasicHDD(0.15/GB) or Network Fast SSD ($0.425/GB). Linux typically needs 10 GB minimum, while Windows requires at least 32 GB.
What are the different instance families?
We offer 5 instance families: General Purpose (m6i. - balanced), Compute Optimized (c6i. - high CPU), Memory Optimized (r6i. - high RAM), Storage Optimized (i3. - high I/O), and Burstable (t3. - cost-effective with baseline CPU).
How does Windows pricing work?
Windows Server instances include an additional licensing fee on top of the base server and storage costs. Windows Server 2022 Standard adds $21.02/month. Windows also requires a minimum of 32 GB storage.
How is billing calculated?
Instances are billed per-second with a 1-minute minimum. Total cost = compute price + storage (size x price per GB). Stopped instances are not charged for compute, only storage. Reserved instances offer up to 40% discount.
Can I resize my instance?
Yes. You can resize to a different instance type with a brief reboot. You can also adjust storage size independently. Data is preserved during resize operations.
How do backups work?
Backups are not automatic by default. Enable automatic snapshots in the console or use the Lineserve Backup Service. Backups are stored redundantly and can be restored with one click.
What are the traffic limits?
Each instance type includes a monthly outbound traffic allowance (example: 1 TB for m6i.small). Inbound traffic is always free. Additional outbound traffic is billed at $8.97/TB.
What is your uptime SLA?
We offer 99.99% uptime SLA for multi-AZ deployments and 99.95% for single-AZ. If we fail to meet the SLA, you receive service credits.
What support is included?
All Cloud Servers include 24/7 technical support via chat, email, and phone. Enterprise customers get dedicated account managers and priority response times.
