User Roles

Understand the different user roles available in Lineserve and their capabilities.

Role Overview

Lineserve provides a role-based access control system to manage what actions users can perform within your account. Each user is assigned exactly one role that determines their permissions.

Default Roles

The platform includes the following pre-defined roles:

Administrator

Administrators have full access to all features and settings:

  • Manage users and permissions
  • Access all messaging services
  • View and modify billing information
  • Create and manage API keys
  • Access all reports and analytics
  • Configure account settings
caution

Limit the number of administrators in your account. Only assign this role to users who truly need full access.

Manager

Managers have access to operational features but not administrative functions:

  • View all messaging services
  • Create and manage campaigns
  • Access reports and analytics
  • View (but not modify) billing information
  • Cannot manage users or change account settings

Developer

Developers have access to technical aspects of the platform:

  • Access API documentation
  • Create and manage their API keys
  • Test messaging services
  • View technical logs
  • Cannot access billing or user management

Analyst

Analysts have read-only access to reporting features:

  • View reports and analytics
  • Export data
  • Cannot send messages or modify settings

Support

Support users have limited access focused on customer interaction:

  • View message delivery status
  • Check customer contact information
  • Respond to inbound messages
  • Cannot access billing or account settings
